Snac Inc is in the mobile phone apps business. To put it simply, they basically make non-iPhones more iPhone-like. And the mechanism by which they smarten up these ordinary phones is their website.

The main challenge posed by this site was how to make the process of adding snacs (apps) to phones as intuitive and quick as possible. It was important that the entire process happen on one screen and that the user not have to traverse deep navigational hierarchies.

The solution comes in the form of the user's My Snacs page: a three-tiered system consisting of 1) Category, 2) Snac Listings, and 3) Phone Desktop. Through this system the user can easily parse through the long list of snacs and add them to his/her phone without leaving the page. To get more info about a particular snac, the user calls up a translucent detailed information window which, because of the translucency, the user is able to discern that he/she is still anchored to the page.

Another goal of the site is to present a cleaner, more intuitive approach to mobile phone apps than their competitors: Zumobi, Widsets, and Plusmo.
