Each major American holiday at the School of Visual Arts warrants its own motion graphics piece to announce the school's closing. Each composition strives to bring out certain features of the holiday in more or less abstract ways.

The Memorial Day animation focuses on the coming together of red, white and blue while the 4th of July animation makes a less than subtle appeal to the streaming effects of fireworks on the night sky. The Labor Day animation aims to draw attention to the changing colors of the seasons.

The majority of these animations were created programmatically using custom software.
